Delete Your Account

How to permanently delete your Pingio account and data.

1. Delete your account from within the app

Account deletion is self-service and available to every Pingio user, whether you signed up with email/password, Google, or Apple:

  1. Open the Pingio app and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete my account".
  4. If your account has a password, confirm it. Google/Apple-only accounts don't need this step.

2. What happens next

Deletion is scheduled with a 30-day grace period, not applied instantly:

  • Your account is immediately signed out and no longer usable.
  • If you sign back in within 30 days, the deletion request is automatically cancelled and nothing is lost.
  • After 30 days with no sign-in, your account and all associated data are permanently and irreversibly deleted.

3. What gets deleted

When deletion completes, we permanently remove:

  • Your account (email, password hash, linked Google/Apple identifiers)
  • Everything you saved — links, notes, categories, and AI-generated insights tied to those items
  • Your reminder history and schedule
  • Registered devices and push-notification tokens
  • Active sessions and refresh tokens

Some third-party services we use to operate Pingio (see our Privacy Policy §4) may retain their own operational logs for a limited period under their own retention policies — for example, email-delivery logs at our transactional email provider. These do not contain your saved content and are not accessible to us after your account is deleted.

4. Can't sign in to delete your account?

If you've lost access to your account (for example, you no longer have the email address or device used to sign in), email us at hello@pingio.me from the email address associated with the account, or with enough detail for us to verify ownership, and we'll delete it for you.

This page is also published at pingio.me/delete-account.html. For details on what data we collect and how it's used before deletion, see our Privacy Policy.
